My first Jazz (stolen) was the exact model that he's claiming this to be. I think it's a fake. What do you think? If the link doesn't work, it's item number 7358073315. Members Fran da Man
Mine must be a fake too...Never seen a Blackblock with a 3 bolt. From "The Fender Bass" an illustrated historyThe three-bolt neckplate and bullet trussrod headstock adjust found its way onto the Telecaster Bass in 1972. By late 1974 it was introduced to the Jazz Bass and was standard on both models by 1975. I'd have to rethink the year yours was.

Possibly a '74' model with a '73' neck date? Wish I had pics to show you. Anyway... I stand corrected and I'm even sadder that mine's gone. I may have had a true rarity. Members Banta
My '72 Jazz had a four-bolt neckplate.
Members BodaciousCowboy
I had a stock '73 with the four-bolt neck. According to "The Fender Bass: An Illustrated History" the three bolt design was first used in 72/73, and first introduced on the Tele bass. Only in 74/75 did the three bolt "become the norm" for the jazz. I'm pretty sure I've seen stock four bolt necks even later than that, fwiw.
