5 string preamp

I have a Fender MIM active Jazz 5 string.

 

The pots, especially the tone is shot. Are there after market preamps for these?

 

I recal Avatr makes one but does anyone else?

I have the BTB-01 in my Fender Deluxe V (MIM), and I like it. The BTB-01 is basically the Bass/Treble/Bright control from the J-Retro.

How is there three controls there? I see only a double concentric setup. Am I missing something?

Yes. A bit crowdy but it all fits in a Jazz cavity.

You pull up on the Treble control for Bright.

 

The J-Retro isn't cheap ($299 at Bass Northwest). I'm not sure how much the BTB-01 runs since it was already installed in my Fender V when I bought it...
