Used to have a customer from Traverse City. Can't think of their name offhanc, but I handled the logistics for their lumber shipments.

Members T. Alan Smith Posted October 23, 2005 Author Members Posted October 23, 2005 Hmmm...maybe Nov. 19th or(preferably) Nov. 26th??? We could just spend the afternoon hangin' out an' playin' & stuff. I'm only a few miles from Starved Rock State Park. If this blows up, we could just rent the Lodge.

Members The Insomniac Posted October 23, 2005 Members Posted October 23, 2005 I have gigs on Nov. 11th and the 19th but don't try to schedule around me.
Members DerekDRP Posted October 23, 2005 Members Posted October 23, 2005 I wish I could go out there and hang with you guy's if you do set something up, But you wouldn't want me any ways I am still learning the bass.

The biggest part of learning anything is simply hanging around others doing the same craft. It does help if they are furthur along in the development of the craft!

Members beam Posted October 23, 2005 Members Posted October 23, 2005 19th is tricky for me, the 26th could be a possibility. You're about 100 miles from me. Not too bad. Let's see about getting as many repeaters from HCBFII Spark, bpocall, T-broom, catphish, vanlatte, bassman1956, L-1329, and a bunch of others I'm sure I'm forgeting

Members james on bass Posted October 23, 2005 Members Posted October 23, 2005 I'd love to attend a meet'n'greet sometime, but that drive is a bit far, and I've got gigs booked every weekend in November! Have fun, and post pics of all the bassy goodness if the meet takes place.
Members sunburstbasser Posted October 23, 2005 Members Posted October 23, 2005 Damn! I'd be all over that! It would be a lot of fun I'm sure, but I can't make it. I was only able to meet Juggs/Zachoff/EZ/GFH by chance last time! Someone play "Birdland" in dedication to me!
Members DerekDRP Posted October 23, 2005 Members Posted October 23, 2005 Aye I agree with sunburstbasser, it be a lot of fun meeting you guy's. Hey we could hold another one in the summer time and call it a bass clinic.

If someone wants to host one in the Denver area around Christmas time-say, the weekend after?-I'd be down for that!

No cash for me so I would have to say nay, I cannot think of anything till after the end of march, Just becuase I'am so in the hole and my business went of vacation right now.
Members sunburstbasser Posted October 23, 2005 Members Posted October 23, 2005 Yeah, it would be. Except for the Denver guys, though I found that getting out of Denver was quite an adventure in its own right. My small-town nature shows through, I guess. Denver is only something like 2 1/2 hours from me. Illinois, even the nearest part, would be ~15 or so, I think. I might be able to do Omaha or Lincoln, about 8 hours but if enough people were going and I had the cash (praying for a real job next summer!) I could make Lincoln.
