The cort that's in my sig? Hay is for horses. James, not Jame's... That ARtisan is a really fine bass. The real Steinies from the early 80's are a totally different beast entirely - one piece graphite, no wood at all. The more recent models are all wood, usually bolt-on necks, though the latest Synapse series are partially graphite. They are still very fine instruments. I love headless basses as they are small, lightweight, easy to transport, and balance well. They are somewhat of a dated look though that not many people care for anymore. If I were you, I'd stick with the Cort, if for no other reason, the fact that if you ever get bored with bass, or wish to upgrade, a "standard" looking bass would be easier to sell. Members sunburstbasser
Today, its not your grammar. Its your spelling! Cort's Artisans are mass-produced instruments. The best Steinbergers were comparable to the best things out there, far beyond even the Artisan series. I don't know how the current ones compare. They aren't anything like the Artisan in feel. Just too different to even compare. Strangely, Cort made a Steinberger copy in the 80s, and they turn up from time to time on Ebay.
