Convention would tell me that the SWR is far better, but I wanted some other opinions because the Behringer had pretty good reviews. I'm running to an ampeg 410 cab. Thanks guys.

Well, the 4004 is a Workingman's series, and the Behringer is an even cheaper copy of an amp thats already reasonably priced.

Try a Gallien Krueger 800RB. I'd take it over either of those amps. Its very clean, like the SWR, small, lots of EQ control, etc.

Between the SWR and the Behr, I'd probably take the SWR used. New, I'd save money and get the Behr (Workingmans amps are supposedly very overpriced, new).

I have a bx4500 and for the money you can't beat um there a copy of an ashdown mag but I a/b the two when i got mine and liked the behringer better It was louder and had a better ie more versital eq and was 1/2 the price sound wise the main difference between the two besides volume is that the behringer lacks a little high end at low vol. but has better bass at mid to high vol.
