Members Thunderbroom Posted October 24, 2005 Members Posted October 24, 2005 Tim Nielsen was/is the bassist for Atlanta, GA's Drivin' N' Cryin'. The band was formed ~86 and released a string of albums until 1997; they still gig from time to time. I own all of their stuff and have their records ripped to MP3's and on a CD that I keep in my car. I was listening to it on the way back from band rehearsal today. That guy can groove! Mad props to a very talented yet relatively unknown bassist.

Members Thunderbroom Posted October 24, 2005 Author Members Posted October 24, 2005 I had no idea that they received any airplay. I was in the Navy during their heyday ('85-'93). I don't think I ever heard them on the radio. I just really like their music; there is not a song on any of their records that I don't like. The same goes for Kevn Kinney's first four solo records. I'm not crazy about his latest though.
Members mike fitzwell Posted October 24, 2005 Members Posted October 24, 2005 They got a TON of airplay between say '90 and '94. I think that's when the disc that had Fly Me Courageous came out, right? {censored} you couldn't spin a radio dial around here without 3 or 4 songs off that disc hittin' ya in the face! Hell we even used to cover Fly Me Courageous in the beginning days of my old band!
