Members SA Rios
not at all. My girlfriend's family went out the next day after thier dog of 14 years died and got a new husky puppy. It helps to ease the pain. Go for it.

I think that's really good of you to even consider taking in a cat with health problems. Most people wouldn't bother doing such a thing, everone seems to want kittens. My mom runs an animal rescue out of her home. It's mostly cats. She takes in the ones with the most problems. A lot of them don't make it more than a few months do to disease but a lot of them do make it thanks to her constantly caring for them. So you get a big in my book for doing that
Members takeout
Go for it. You had all that love for your dear departed buddy that needs a new target.
Members Emprov
No way man! My in laws (border line "weird cat people) were out looking within a few days of their previous cat(s) dying. Cats are cool, having one around the house is rarely a bad idea.
Members ARES
when my 14 year old dog was put down, we waited about a year out of respect and to not put feelings of anguish toward another pet. then again, not like i'll ever be completely over mourning my old girl. you're ready when you feel ready. could be sooner or later, that's entirely up to you. Members no-logic
Absolutely not. Go for it man. A new little buddy will fill that void. But don't worry.....you will still remember your departed in the same light. His memories will never, ever leave you.
