Members Benjamin
Here's our new song in a roughish demo recording mixed down. The new direction we are taking, not necessarily always this distorted but hey you gotta go balls out sometimes Epiphone Ripper with Barts, TurboRAT into Trace Elliot head recorded DI. The song consists of the core trio, no lead guitarist on this track yet... Emotional Fortification [MP3:7MB] I hope you all enjoy!
Members zenfascist
Y'know, one thing I've noticed about the songs that are posted here is that they're usually pretty good....except the singer comes in and totally destroys it. Same thing for yours, the instrumental part sounded AWESOME, but that singer sounds like he's trying to sound bad on purpose I'm sorry if it's you singing and I offended you, that's just IMHO. I calls 'em like I sees 'em.
Members Benjamin
I only take a little offense, because I really like his singing most of the time In what way does he ruin it? I am curious. They are demos, so is it the sound or tone of voice, or is it the mass of words or accent? We are Australian, so that is going to sound different. My only fault with the singer sometimes is the use of so many words, but you could hardly call it a fault. The songs I write are in the opposite direction, probably half his word count Thanks for listening though. Encouraging mostly that the music is good. Trying to teach the guit/singer how to do more complex lines, as per the little run we both do. That kind of playing is almost beyond him for now, completely foreign as he is a rhythm guitarist, and brilliant at that.
Members Moody Johnny
Listening to it right now... I Think the singer fits the music like a glove. The music is interesting, and the overall sound has nice warmth in it. Don't overpolish it when you get to do the final recording.

The lyrics and his voice. They are cheesy, and his voice just doesn't sound good IMHO. I'm not saying I could do any better, either.

Members bassman1956
I really like the groove, and the bass has abit of nasty edge in places. Good! But, I kind of agree with zenfascist, in that the singer seems to detract. Overall, pretty good tho!
