Members tenyearsgone Posted November 4, 2005 Members Posted November 4, 2005 They're excellent basses, I love my Corvette.A bit pricey, though. I have not heard good things about the rockbasses, but opinions differ of course.

If you haven't heard a Warwick before, they have a very unique sound, you can't mistake it. Maybe someone could post some clips for you. I don't have a way to record or I would.TEN

P-NUTT from 311 (another warwick user) uses the SWR cabs.
Members ToeJamFootball Posted November 4, 2005 Author Members Posted November 4, 2005 yes i know that, but on the tour which is predominatley on the Volume 2 DVD he is using the Goliaths ToeJam
Members Rowka Posted November 4, 2005 Members Posted November 4, 2005 I don't understand the Snickers comment.

Members Rowka Posted November 4, 2005 Members Posted November 4, 2005 Really? Where are you buying your Snickers bars?

I have not heard good things about the rockbasses, but opinions differ of course. I got a sweet Rockbass Streamer 4-string for my birthday and love it. The only drawback is that the pickups are kinda weak, but I solve this problem by running it through a Tech21 Bass Compactor (compression+boost). The neck is super fast and the slap tone is awesome for it's price range.

Members ToeJamFootball Posted November 4, 2005 Author Members Posted November 4, 2005 yeah that is what i thought, i cant find a date on teh DVD, but that tour could have been before he started endorsing Eden ToeJam
Members sunburstbasser Posted November 4, 2005 Members Posted November 4, 2005 I get Warwick GAS from Stuart Zender's days with Jamiroquai. Dirk doesn't help!

Members zenfascist Posted November 4, 2005 Members Posted November 4, 2005 I like the way they sound, but I hate the way they play. Don't know why, and I've played them all (Thumb, Corvette, Streamer, Fortress, etc.).
Members bleepo Posted November 4, 2005 Members Posted November 4, 2005 They are very love em or hate em. I love em. I have a 90's thumb 5. It's my first call bass. Altough it only has one sound, the sound seems to work for everything. To hear a Warwick, pick up old Jamiroquai, Incubus, or 311. Mudvayne if metal is your thing. Slipknot too. Puddle of Mudd's guy uses a thumb. So does the guy from the Crash Test Dummies. They're everywhere. I love my thumb, but would like to get my hands on a lefty Streamer 5, and a fretless. The shape of the thumb does not allow for playing around your knees!
Members ToeJamFootball Posted November 5, 2005 Author Members Posted November 5, 2005 plus the thumbs are ugly!! maybe one day i will discover why poeple like the thumbs, hey at least they arent as bad as the Buzzard!! ToeJam
Members sunburstbasser Posted November 5, 2005 Members Posted November 5, 2005 Aesthetically, the only Warwick I like is the Streamer, at least in most cases (some exceptions).
Members mounds Posted November 5, 2005 Members Posted November 5, 2005 Slo Maggard from Unearth uses one.. if you want to vomit, Sam Rivers from Limp Bizkit uses one too. Also, JONAS BJ
Members crabfunk Posted November 5, 2005 Members Posted November 5, 2005 I took this picture of Ryan of Mudvayne at the Seattle Ozzfest show in July. You can see the Warwick pretty well, I think, and it sounded great from up front and up a hill, probably 50 yards away.
Members mounds Posted November 5, 2005 Members Posted November 5, 2005 Badass. That guy's crazy good.
Members ToeJamFootball Posted November 5, 2005 Author Members Posted November 5, 2005 my mistake i took a closer look, they are just on their sides., thats why i thought they were Goliaths, because at first i didnt see the porting that the edens have. whoops[insert smiley smacking thyself on the head] ToeJam
