My daughter got fluid in her lungs, so she stayed in NICU for over 24 hours. After a while they said she was so healthy, so they weren't even sure why she was in NICU. Now she's a happy, healthy, and beautiful 16 month old girl! Congrats again!

When smaller babies come out or C-Section babies they dont get the compression on the lungs and fluids can get trapped in there. Shes now without any respiratory help. Now they will address how well she can suckle and go from there. My son was in the NICU for three weeks. He was born at 3 pounds and 13oz. He's doing great 5 years later!

Members Axhandle Posted November 11, 2005 Members Posted November 11, 2005 At the risk of being a Sexist Pig, l must point out that it usually works out best when the wife is the one who has the baby. Congrats!
