Members DanTolen Posted November 11, 2005 Members Posted November 11, 2005 Very interesting, what kind of music are you into?
Members ToeJamFootball Posted November 11, 2005 Author Members Posted November 11, 2005 all sorts, mostly rock-orientated to metal srt of stuff, but at the moment i am getting into Industrial, some Techno and stuff like that. those lyrics are probably goign to be linked with a hard-driving-rock-groove sort of song. think Velvet Revolver-QOTSA-Groove:D ToeJam
Members DanTolen Posted November 11, 2005 Members Posted November 11, 2005 Well, they are certainly a helluva lot better than todays modern poop-punk lyrics.
Members ToeJamFootball Posted November 11, 2005 Author Members Posted November 11, 2005 cool thanks man. yeah i really cant stand that bumble-gum punk, emo stuff. ToeJam
Members Perfessor Posted November 11, 2005 Members Posted November 11, 2005 You could easily make a blues song from those lyrics and start repeating one part of it more often. For example, the first part can be a refrain with "You Call Your Own" the name and being repeated at the end. With solos it could be as long as you want to make it. And the name "You Call Your Own" is pretty darn cool.
Members JacieFB Posted November 11, 2005 Members Posted November 11, 2005 You didn't rhyme "girl" with "world". You're definitely off to a good start.
Members illidian Posted November 12, 2005 Members Posted November 12, 2005 Great for a first attempt! I imagined it with a rock/hard-rock sound to it. Sounds good in my head!
Members bassman1956 Posted November 16, 2005 Members Posted November 16, 2005 Okay! Good start! Now, what kind of groove you got set up to carry them? Any ideas yet?
Members bassthumpintwin Posted November 16, 2005 Members Posted November 16, 2005 POST! have you got music to it yet?
