Members gretschzildjian Posted November 14, 2005 Members Posted November 14, 2005 Dudes, I use a Marshall Guv'nor Plus stompbox as a bass distortion. Cheapo box which adds that cool sounding growl to my tone when I want it. I love its sound and its EQ features prevents me from losing any bottom end when I push it. I prefer this mutha above for instance the Boss bass distortions and even the Fulltone Bassdrive. Problem is that very often the box gives me much MUCH more volume than the way I set it. It gives me this MAJOR volume and bottom end boost for a couple of times when I hit it, then it functions normally again. It's also possible that the problem is actually the other way round: that the box actually gives me less volume and bottom end output and only functions normally when it's suddenly that loud. I can't figure out what it is, or how to fix it. Anybody has got a clue what's going on, and if this is fixable?
