Here's my rack, when it's all together:

 

 

 

The Bass POD XT Pro, used with my FBV Shortboard controller, gives me all the effects I'll ever need:D

 

EDIT: I have used rack-mounted effects in the past, namely, Alesis Quadraverb. In my eyes, the Bass POD XT Pro is a rack-mounted effect unit. That's how I see it. So, as you can see with my rack, I also have a quality bass preamp! The Demeter HBP-1 is A/B'ed with the Line 6 POD. I use either/or, or can also use BOTH at the same time. Either way, I like having the Demeter on-board. BUT,...............I have found some awesome tones with the POD used as a pre-amp, also!! Plus, the POD has TONS of effects, as any good digital effect would!!! Lastly, right now, my rack is in pieces. The Demeter and QSC amp (PLX-3402) in a nice 3-space soft rack makes for a great amp!! And, I have the POD in a 5-space soft rack with another QSC amp (RMX-850) and Furman power conditioner. ANOTHER quality bass rig!!!
