Members I stink at bass Posted November 21, 2005 Members Posted November 21, 2005 If you still had ever bass that you ever bought, how many would you currently own? And what bass do you most regret getting rid of? For me, the total would be 19, and the bass that I most regret getting rid of is the Korean neck-thru Spector.
Members mlwarriner Posted November 21, 2005 Members Posted November 21, 2005 i'd be at 10 if i can count the one i've got paid for but isn't built yet. most regrets: probably my MIM fender jazz...just a very reliable bass.
Members greenshag Posted November 21, 2005 Members Posted November 21, 2005 own 3, bought 2...I don't sell basses, just amps and efx it seems...

Members Gruven Posted November 21, 2005 Members Posted November 21, 2005 I would currently own 12. I regret selling my '75' reissue Jazz and that my '73' Jazz was stolen.
Members M-1 Fan Posted November 21, 2005 Members Posted November 21, 2005 I had a '62 Jazz Bass that I wish I could own all over again.
Members Thumper Posted November 21, 2005 Members Posted November 21, 2005 20 and counting... The ones I miss most: an early '60s Jazz, traded for a burgundy 4003 that I later sold. A 1993 Ric 4003S/8 eight-string traded for an early '57 P reissue, which I traded for a Hagstrom H-8.

Members Yools Posted November 21, 2005 Members Posted November 21, 2005 Let's see... in the order purchased/obtained: - Harmony P-bass copy (gave away years ago)- Washburn Axxess 4-string (Xmas gift from my brother in 1991; stolen out of my office when I was a grad student)- Ibanez EX 5-string (sold)- custom RK quilted maple 5-string (still my main bass)- Ibanez TR 4-string (actually bought it for my wife, but I use it way more than she ever has)- Washburn Mercury Bass 6-string (heavily modified; still in use)- Carvin fretless 5-string (sold years ago)- Squire "Bullet" P-bass (bought in pawn shop; sold to a friend in 2000)- Peavy Foundation 5-string fretless (bought on Ebay with no electronics; still haven't set it up for regular use) So that's 9 total; 4 are still in my possession. If I could have any of them back, it would be the Squire P-bass - that thing was fat as hell with the stock pickups, and would have sounded great with a few upgrades.
