Members Bassinflux Posted November 30, 2005 Members Posted November 30, 2005 as in, not searching for the model number, but instead testing it somehow? or does it involve lots of expensive equipment? I have an old wurlitzer electric organ that has some major problems including multiple note generators and the master c note generators broken. I have decided that it might be fun to salvage the tube amp and possibly the speakers, and make my own wurlizter amp & cab for my nord modular. It has 2 12" speakers in it, but I am almost positive that since it only has a model number and no make and given that the organ's model is hard to find info about, they are obsolete and forgotten speakers. The organ is a 4030D and in pretty good cosmetic shape. I intend to keep the design true to the wurlizter image and use the screen grill that is on the organ in both the amp and cab to make the unit look mighty fine. Now, with all that said, I don't really need the specs, since the idea is to keep the wurlitzer look and sound (in a relative way) and as long as they work, which they do, I am planning on using them. I was just wondering if I could run some tests on them. I imagine a multimeter can give me their ohmage... anything else?
