they arnt pricey, i have only seen one so far, it was the 410TVX and all the tolex stuff was tearing off, AUD$400 but my mum told me i was addicted and i cant get it.

i was pissed because i had just spent 400 on my SX, i would have preffered to have a better cab then a new bass

I own a GB610T-XB2 which is the 2nd generation of this cabinet.

It's 4 ohms and uses different spearkers than the 1st generation XB cabinets

Either way they're great cabinets. This is it.

The difference between 6 ohms and 4 ohms is not really significant. Consider it a 4 ohm nominal cabinet and you will be good to go.

Nominal impedance and minimum impedance do not always coincide, and it's not very precise either. A solid state amp will not care if you call it a 4 ohm cabinet, and you can run 2 in parallel:eek: on an amp that will drive 2 ohms (GBE-400/600/1200) with a loss of less than 1dB maximum SPL.

For a tube amp, start with the 4 ohm tap and see how it sounds. Depending on the output stage, the 8 ohm tap may sound better/worse/or just different.
