Members Perfessor Posted December 6, 2005 Members Posted December 6, 2005 Just curious. It's been 28 years for me and finally made reservations for next summer. They said at each place that in January they book solid for the summer in some places so it was good to get the pick of the places now. Hitting Helena, Libby, Whitefish, Hamilton and places unknown.
Members lug Posted December 6, 2005 Members Posted December 6, 2005 I'm going there soon...gonna be a dental floss tycoon.

Members Rowka Posted December 6, 2005 Members Posted December 6, 2005 I heard Montana was just like Idaho, but without the smart people.
Members bnyswonger Posted December 6, 2005 Members Posted December 6, 2005 One thing's for sure..there's no shortage of elbow room there. I've driven through Montana, but alas, there were no gigs there.
Members lug Posted December 6, 2005 Members Posted December 6, 2005 Originally posted by Rowka I heard Montana was just like Idaho, but without the smart people. Well at least Montana had an entry in the Miss World Eubonics beauty pagent! Idaho couldn't get anyone to sign up.

Members nicks77 Posted December 6, 2005 Members Posted December 6, 2005 I actually used to go to Hamilton all the time.. i was dating this chick that lived there... the Bitteroot River is great. There is a great record label based somewheres around Missoula called Wantage Records... they put on this concert every year called Wantage Total Fest. Real underground rock. They do vinyl for Drunk Horse, Federation X, Last of the Juanitas are some of my faves... they also distribute for Big Business who just kill.
Members Monkabutt Posted December 6, 2005 Members Posted December 6, 2005 Been to Big Sky ski area a couple of times. Probably my favorite place to ski ever! Great snow, great mountain and no lift lines!
Members bholder Posted December 6, 2005 Members Posted December 6, 2005 Raisin' 'em up, waxin' 'em down. With my Zircon encrusted tweezers, my and my pygmy pony will ride along the borderline... The difference between Montana and Idaho is that "My Private Montana" just doesn't sound right. And no potatos, either.
Members Perfessor Posted December 6, 2005 Author Members Posted December 6, 2005 Red Lodge could be a stopping off point. Hamilton Real Estate poeple are already sending me stuff!
Members i_wanna_les_paul Posted December 6, 2005 Members Posted December 6, 2005 Originally posted by Rowka I heard Montana was just like Idaho, but without the smart people. Why I oughta... Really, though, I grew up there and hope to return someday. I'm looking forward to going home in two weeks for Christamas. Mountains, skiing, and cold that'd make these whiney Oklahoma wimps never leave the house Beautiful, desolate and wide-open. It's home. Dustin
Members 72Rick Posted December 6, 2005 Members Posted December 6, 2005 I'm going there soon...gonna be a dental floss tycoon. Lug - "The Zappa-Matic"! Hey, that's got a ring to it!
Members 4string Posted December 7, 2005 Members Posted December 7, 2005 I only live 3 hours north of the Montanna border
Members gbassman100 Posted December 7, 2005 Members Posted December 7, 2005 I've been there a lot for work, I like Montana. I really like Missoula, a nice mix of cowboy, hippy granola and university types. Beautiful rolling hills, river...
Members L-1329 Posted December 7, 2005 Members Posted December 7, 2005 I've been to Bozeman, spent a day or two there. Caught a gun show which was cool, spent a lot of time driving around looking for something to do, spent the night drinking at 'the' bar. Actually that place was pretty cool, made from an old rail station I think. Was all good until we ran into our passengers there:eek: Thought we were cooked until they bought us a few beers! For the record I should add we were not flying out until later the following day...
