Members KeroseneTrewthe Posted December 6, 2005 Members Posted December 6, 2005 Im thinking about checking out this amp. I read the HC reviews but most of them say it sounds awesome. I want to know more about how it sounds. Im not looking for a cheaper version of the SVT. But just curious on how this amp sounds.
Members Tag Posted December 6, 2005 Members Posted December 6, 2005 Got one in transit as we speak! I'll definitely let you know how it is... Read my thread here for some YBA-200 info. Apparently Traynor only has a few left and aren't manufacturing more until March... http://acapella.harmony-central.com/forums/showthread.php?s=&threadid=1097872
Members bassman1956 Posted December 6, 2005 Members Posted December 6, 2005 I'd say more buttery than SVT. You can get some grit, especially if your bass has a preamp, and you plug into the passive jack. The tone knobs are passive, on the front end of the preamp tubes, and take a bit to learn to adjust. But once you do, you can get a good range out of it. Not as much as eq's in the middle of an active preamp, mind you, but suitable. Come on down and play it for yourself.
