Members twostone Posted December 7, 2005 Members Posted December 7, 2005 Which one is what I was told that 1 input is for basses that have batteried powered pickups and the other one for standard pickups and the same goes for guitar amps, thanks for your in put.
Members Archon_113 Posted December 7, 2005 Members Posted December 7, 2005 I'm not quite sure what you're asking but I hope this helps: High is for passive (non-battery powered) Low is for active (battery-powered) This is only a general rule, as there are some passive basses with very high outputs, which will need to be used with the low input.
Members Johnny Deeper Posted December 7, 2005 Members Posted December 7, 2005 High is for active & low is for passive.
Members tietjen Posted December 7, 2005 Members Posted December 7, 2005 Depends on the amp but generally High is for distortion and Low is for clean. Some amps High is for single coils or passive pickups and Low is for hot output or active pickups.
Members twostone Posted December 7, 2005 Author Members Posted December 7, 2005 Thanks to all that's what I needed to know I forgot, just bought A Peavey Mark7 Bass head and a used a Fender JP-90 and a Peavey Transtube Supreme 160 guitar head and a PRS -SE both guitars are passive pickups and both amps have Low&High inputs I just couldn't remember I'm getting to be an ole geezer which is my favorite bassist
Members lug Posted December 7, 2005 Members Posted December 7, 2005 plug bass into one and then the other. The quieter input is for Active.
