OT uk petrol...scammer?

Hi folks,

I'm very suspicious of all these kind of things and usually delete asap. However, I've looked up the founder on the net and he seems ok so there doesn't appear to be anything to lose.

 

Most of us would appreciate lower car fuel prices. This email is passed on to tell you about a fuel discount card scheme that is in the process of being set up. Essentially it involves nothing more than people grouping together to get a negotiated discount from one of the major fuel suppliers. There is no charge to register.

Here is part of the response to registration:

 

I am pleased to say that the campaign is making great progress. We are in active discussions with a major fuel retailer to negotiate discounts on petrol across the whole of the UK. This will be achieved through a special discount card which will be issued free of charge to all our members as soon as the group is large enough.
