right on!

and since I have a 2x10, it should lift it up a bit, so it is more pointed at me, rather than my feet...:D

Let us know what you think!

It will lift it up...a few inches...:D

The boominess is due to proximity to the floor. You have a right angle between the floor and your speaker baffle, which creates a standing wave. If you put your cab on a chair, you eliminate this.

Yep, and I can't use an amp stand. It also looks better than a chair.

I was thinking about making my own.

my sales manager asked if I wanted it since I play bass, so I said yes....damn I love free stuff, it makes it easier to deal with all the {censored} I put up with on a daily basis...

Does it really help that much with live sound?

basically, and it has some auralex pads underneath as well, I will let you guys know tomorrow how it works out, I gotta try it out first when I get home...

I was in a rehearsal studio auditioning for a band. I brought in my combo and started setting up. One of the owners of the studio grabbed my setup, while I was using it. Started setting it on that thing "dude, you've got to try this, it's the greatest thing ever, I'll cut you a sweet deal, I make them, they'll revolutionize bass, they're the best thing ever, you'll never believe you lived without it..." etc etc. Mind you, this is while I'm auditioning and the band is paying by the hour. Nevermind that I have a small combo and standing waves are hardly an issue...

no thanks.

I have removable castors on my 4x10 and remove the back two so that the cab sits at about a 10-15 degree angle backwards. Serves two purposes, kills some boom, and gives my ears more direct exposure.

I don't have a big problem with boom anyway, except in the recording bungalow where sympathetic vibrations create a sub-harmonic rumble sometimes.

Some of the places we play have wood stages and the bass just resounds through the hollow stage floor. I use 2 of these and it totally isolates my cab to the point where the sound is clear and true instead of all the vibration through the stage. They work great.
