Members SA Rios Posted December 12, 2005 Members Posted December 12, 2005 You need an MM. Stingray or Sterling.
Members Emprov Posted December 12, 2005 Members Posted December 12, 2005 Either a MM or a custom made Wish fretless, you pick from there.
Members Rowka Posted December 12, 2005 Author Members Posted December 12, 2005 Ric - love the looks, like the sound, hate the feel. Wal - same. P or Stingray - nope. I hate the wide nut. Gotta be Jazz spacing at the nut. Sterling is a possibility. SX already in the mix, but as the Rowka-LowTone-enstein.
Members bottomfeeder Posted December 12, 2005 Members Posted December 12, 2005 RickBeneventeSpector but give me the Kramer!
Members Rowka Posted December 12, 2005 Author Members Posted December 12, 2005 Ooooh, Benevente. Remember the one with the realistic flame paint? That was sweet.
Members 1039greenday Posted December 12, 2005 Members Posted December 12, 2005 You cant say no to this:D

Members Spark Posted December 12, 2005 Members Posted December 12, 2005 I hate to say "Dude, you don't have a Fender," but Dude...you don't have a Fender! (No matter what anybody sayd, a G&L ain't a Fender!)

Members lug Posted December 12, 2005 Members Posted December 12, 2005 A nice Peavey T-40, you ferker!

I've had, and sold at least one T-40 already.I'd like to get the pups and wiring from a T-40 and build another bass around that, though. I'd love to get a hold of one of those crazy Atlansia basses.

Members LanEvo Posted December 12, 2005 Members Posted December 12, 2005 You can start by giving that Pedulla Buzz to me. You probably never play it anyway All joking aside, I'm surprised you don't have a Steinberger or other graphite-necked instrument in the mix. It gives you quite a different tone and feel compared to most wooden necked basses. Personally, I love my Steinberger XQ-5. It's got a bolt-on graphite neck, wide-5 spacing, 1-piece swamp ash body (with nice grain that peeks through the transparent ruby finish), a pair of EMG soap-bars, and an EMG 19-volt BQC preamp (vol, balance, bass, treble, semi-parametric mid). The sound is simply amazing. Tight, clear bass. Smooth highs. Total control over the mids (between the two pickups and sweepable mid control, you can get anything from Jazz Bass quack, to P Bass thump, to Stingray growl). Plus, there's a ringing sustain, incredible punch, and excellent note separation. I never understood what people meant by "piano-like bass" until I got this Steinberger. Emre
Members Rowka Posted December 12, 2005 Author Members Posted December 12, 2005 Emre,I had a Steinberger XL-2A untill a short while ago. It was a very good bass, but it saw the least strap-time of the lot (well, except for teh URB, that sees zero strap time. Actually, I hang from it).
