Looks like somebody took an SX j and made it look like it was designed with an ugly stick. Look at this thing!:

 

 

It looks like it tries so hard. Poor little thing. Makes me want to put it out of it's misery.

How come crappy used guitars and basses that you see for sale at pawn shops etc are always missing strings ?

 

What happens to the strings ?

 

Do they rot off or fall off by themselves ?

I always assume the thing was so unloved and uncared for that the owner couldn't be bothered to dig some old strings out of wherever and slap them on... not a big buying enticement.

I've often wondered this myself.... almost as much as "why dont they put new strings on that thing....."

 

anywho.... i DO like what the guy did to the headstock.... the body could have been done a lot better though....

Leaving off strings when you want to sell a bass is like trying to sell a car and not bothering to include the wheels.

 

It's a small thing but it's kind of important.
