At the time of writing this... i ve done 3 of my 4 exams, I'm taking Automotive Engineering and so far its been ok (im a 5th semester student)

-Engine design I : just killed the exam... A in that class :)

-Jig and Fixture Design: This one took a beating from me too... A in that class

-Mechanics of Mechanism I: wow... gotr my ass handed to me by this one... judging by the way people were talking coming out of this one, she may have to grade it on a curve since the class did that bad. I'm hoping for a C in this class its that bad.

And my last and waiting exams... tommorow afternoon...

Thermodynamics I: this one is gonna be a tuffy, working on my cheat sheet right now, exam is at 1 tommorow, then im done school till Jan 9th. and then done for good at the end of April! i cant wait.

Hows everyone else making out?

After 14 years of college/grad school, and 5 years of teaching, I still can't decide which is worse - taking final exams, or grading them. At any rate, I just turned in my last grades for the semester, so I'm done with that ('till the Spring semester rears its ugly head...)

Neither, writing the exam is the worst part. I taught for a while following residency and I would write a question that I thought would be pretty straight forward and everyone would miss it. Questions that I thought may be tough they would blow right through.

I'm adminstering an exam right now.

I've got two more to give tomorrow (morning & night), and then I'm done. I'll hang around here late tomorrow night so that I can turn in grades before I leave for the holidays.

I'm planning to start school (Ed.D.) in the Spring, so I'll be able to give insight from both sides next May.

i just wrote my second sociology midterm(first was in october) and the first exam this "season". worst exam ever. it had "pompous professor" written all over it.

she gives lectures like she's talking to kindergarten kids and talks with her hands very excessively. i wish i could actually learn something from the lectures, but i can't so i skip the class and do the readings.

JUST finished up my last final.....

Got an A in my Visual Basic programming class.... EZ online course

Got a C in my Database class, but I think she added my scores wrong (ie, forgot to put the final exam score on there) so I should have an A if and when she fixes it (i already emailed her)

If I got a B or better on the final I should have an A in physics

and if the same holds true for my HTML class I should have a B.... I had an 80% going into the final :( the class is easy, but the professor was nuts and his exams SUCK.

My finals is not until Friday. But I do have a paper that is due tomorrow.

I'm in line for at least an A- final grade unless I seriously screw this up.

I hate being back in school.

Physics final: It was supposed to be on JUST Temperature and Heat. and the first problem I see was a harmonic motion problem, which I forgot how to do. Oh yeah that problem was worth 40 out of 120 points. There goes my A in physics.

Calculus: Not too bad. it felt like I took it about 2 weeks ago, but it was only 8 am this morning. I am never taking an 8 am class EVER.

I had no other final except for those. And I have a German final tomorrow. So I'm sitting around on my ass until then...

I agree. Coming up with essay questions that aren't too broad/tough or too easy can be difficult.

And the time factor of writing a multiple choice exam that's long enough, doesn't repeat itself, and becomes enough of a challenge, is pretty hefty.

Got lucky with a near perfect bell curve of grades on my first try with a midterm a couple years. :thu:

But it takes me hours to write the damn thing, and then the final took the students 45 - 90 minutes to finish. *sigh*

I have three left between tomorrow and wednesday; they shouldn't be too bad, I'm going in with As.

Oh, and university life is the best. :thu:

I did ok, not as well as I had hoped. My Physics midterm was a lot more comprehensive than I had expected. Why don't they let us have a cheat sheet on physics tests? The only hard part is remembering the damn equations...

Did quite well in Japanese I think. A or B there, since I missed some homework.

Should have a B in Operating Systems, probably another in Probability, possibly an a if my final was good enough.
