Members Jonny Five Posted December 15, 2005 Members Posted December 15, 2005 It finally came. I ordered one from a guy on ebay, and it took him forever to send it. Then it was delayed in transit. BUT NOW ITS HERE. It's finals season, so i really don't have time to sit down and play it, but my preliminary test run was seriously like It does NOT need a setup, which surprises me. I just swapped out the old battery, and the sucker was balls to the walls tone. Prolly could use some new strings, and I think I may switch out the tuners, but other than that, wow. I've played Stingrays, Sterlings, etc, and the first impression i've gotten is that this lil' guy is on par with them (and I only payed $300!). Anywho, just a quick happy gush. I've got to knock out 15 pages by the end of the day. I'll post a review when i go home after finals, probably AFTER Christmas (i'd like to A -> B the SUB to a Stingray).
Members pbass_groovin Posted December 15, 2005 Members Posted December 15, 2005 I've been impressed with the ones that I've played. For the money you can't get a better sound.
Members beam Posted December 15, 2005 Members Posted December 15, 2005 Those seem like great basses for the money, and $300? Excellent deal!
Members sunburstbasser Posted December 15, 2005 Members Posted December 15, 2005 I enjoyed playing the SUB. Congrats! Now get to writing!
Members Mind Riot Posted December 15, 2005 Members Posted December 15, 2005 Flippin' sweet. That price is even down into OLP range, can't do much better than that. Post pics if you can!
