Members baracuda2004 Posted January 4, 2006 Members Posted January 4, 2006 I'm an obsessive AIC fan and while searching for them at Youtube.com i found this video of MAD SEASON - Long Gone Day(live), and Layne Staley(AIC) and Mark Lanegan(Screaming Trees) do a really impressive job on the vocals in it. ENJOY!!!! Mad Season - Long Gone Day (Live)
Members Deville Posted January 4, 2006 Members Posted January 4, 2006 I love Mad Season. Layne Staley's voice is freakin' evil. Mike McCready plays guitar. Look for the album "Above". Lifeless dead is a great track.

Members NineMinuteNap Posted January 16, 2006 Members Posted January 16, 2006 This thread re-introduced me to Mad Season. That rhythm section is incredible. This music is just exactly what I needed tonight. :thu:
Members gretschzildjian Posted January 16, 2006 Members Posted January 16, 2006 Yeah, they were an excellent band. X-ray Mind always was my favourite track on the Above album...
Members ToeJamFootball Posted January 16, 2006 Members Posted January 16, 2006 i havent heard them yet, i had seen the advertisement inside of one of the AIC cds, but never though to check them out. i think i will now
Members monark Posted January 16, 2006 Members Posted January 16, 2006 I remember when the CD came out, but I never listened to it.
Members Thumper Posted January 16, 2006 Members Posted January 16, 2006 I always loved 'River of Deceit' even though it's a pretty sad song.
Members Apendecto Posted January 16, 2006 Members Posted January 16, 2006 Funny, I was just going to ask about this band. I heard them on one of those music stations while I was playing poker a few days ago. How many records did they put out?Any good?Who plays bass/drums? Anything else you can tell me? Thanks.Yo.

That's Mark LANEGAN on vocals, either Brant Bjork on drums (methinks not) and I forget the name of the bass player (Baker Saunders or similar??) who apparently overdosed not long after the band split. Abuse was rife. These guys still sounded great. I am sure someone will correct me
Members mounds Posted January 17, 2006 Members Posted January 17, 2006 I love Mad Season almost as much as I love AIC.

John Baker Saunders played bass, a guy Mike met while in rehab. They officially released one album called Above, but there are some live recordings around of which the Moore Theatre recording was sort of official.
Members Benjamin Posted January 17, 2006 Members Posted January 17, 2006 Martin Barret and John Baker Saunders, that's them. Didn't Martin go as well or is he still allive?
