I'm sure they sound great...but yuck. Looks like I made one with the supplies found in my garage. Can't be too hard to make them look cool too, can it?

I'm not trying to defend what I own, But I think the Bag Ends look pretty good with the deep red covering.

Now as for the sound of everything you posted...well, then looks aren't really anything.

An Ampeg 8x10 looks like a building block:rolleyes:

Well, I guess that's the trade-off. But if I were to buy a boutique (pronounced "expensive") cab like that, I'd be keeping it for a while, so I'd just recover it with a different material that I liked.

I call them ugly too. I've seen some home-brews look pretty groovy, but they were covered with a thin layer of expensive wood / plywood: not practical for someone gigging.

now I truely think the dark blue with yellow tag of the Schroeders is pretty cool... I am considering having them recovered in tweed. I HATE any kind of absorbant covering. They hold too much stank when gigged at the {censored} bars & biker parties I've endured.

You know... I spent the 90s in a 'boutique' rig too. But the BagEnds were bought nekkid
