Members syciprider Posted January 8, 2006 Members Posted January 8, 2006 I just stole a nice 15" cab from Deville (he was taken by my wit and charm and gave it up for $75.00). Thing is, I did not make note of how he had it connected. I see two 1/4" jacks arrayed vertically in the back. Which one is the input and which one is for an ext cab? Thanks!
Members Deville Posted January 8, 2006 Members Posted January 8, 2006 Thanks to the wonders of modern technology, you can use either connection as an input or output. Plug an amp into one jack, and you can run an additional cab from the other jack. Just be mindful of impedance. That cab is 8 ohms. Your amp can probably run stable at 4 ohms, but only a few can handle 2 ohms. Just make sure whatever additional cabs you connect are no less than 8 ohms. This will prevent any potential amp frying. It was a fair deal. The cab ain't pretty like some others. I feel the price was fair. Glad we could help each other out.
