ah you just saved me from annoyances. I have a cordless phone in my room with an answering machine and litterally 99% of the calls we get are telemarketers. I always get the same phone call at like 9 am while Im sleeping and they always leave a message. The annoying part is that my answering machine beeps every 5 seconds or so and it just ANNOYS THE {censored} OUT OF ME and I can't get back to sleep unless I get up and delete the message. It's not a loud beep it's just one of those things that just pierces into your brain and you just want to shoot somebody. I don't know if I can get rid of the beep option.

But anyway if telemarketers start calling my cell I'll be hearing "666! THE NUMBER OF THE BEAST! HELL AND FIRE WAS BORN TO BE RELEASED!" AAAAAAAAAAALLLLLL day. And no I will not shut off the ringer cause I hate that. Plus I need to hear it if I have a delivery to make.

Thank you for the number.

You said it brother. My home phone used to ring off the hook every night, all night. The worst offenders were MCI and the LA Times. Since the Do not Call List I get no junk calls, zero, zip, nichts, nada, nuthin...cept maybe for the occasional nuisance call from the Republican party trying to tell me how to vote.

Stupid crap! It didn't work from my number. It insisted twice that "the number did not match the number I was calling from."

They need to get the bugs out of their system.

from the government website:

What Phone Numbers Can I Register?

"10. Can I register my cell phone on the National Do Not Call Registry?

Yes, you may place your personal cell phone number on the National Do Not Call Registry. The registry has accepted cell phone numbers since it opened for registrations in June 2003. There is no deadline to register a home or cell phone number on the Registry.

You may have received an email telling you that your cell phone is about to be assaulted by telemarketing calls as a result of a new cell phone number database; however, THAT IS NOT THE CASE. FCC regulations prohibit telemarketers from using automated dialers to call cell phone numbers. Automated dialers are standard in the industry, so most telemarketers don

If I'm guilty of being annoying and punished for up to two years jail time, then certainly you should get the death penalty for those shirts.

Can't face the fact that you're passing along bad information?

I'll trust Snopes, and you trust your friend's chain email. Deal?
