Members HORSE Posted January 16, 2006 Members Posted January 16, 2006 I didn't want to hijack JC Bass' thread so I'll post my question here. I'm looking for a wiring diagram for the following configuration: I've got two humbucking pickups and I want to install a series/parallel switch on each one as well as an active/passive switch to bypass the preamp. Right now it is wired with 4 controls: Volume, Volume, Treble, Bass. I was thinking of putting in push/pull pots for the volume controls as the series/parallel switches and a mini toggle for the active/passive switch. Can anyone help?

I've tried a P/S on each humbucker, and while it does give some tonal variations, I much prefer a P/S between the two, or 3 p/s switches (one for each HB, and one to but the two pus in p or s with each other.) WHat kind of preamp do you have?
Members Fran da Man Posted January 16, 2006 Members Posted January 16, 2006 Sounds like you need to see a G&L schematic.
Members HORSE Posted January 16, 2006 Author Members Posted January 16, 2006 I think the G&L style wiring would be perfect. I can't tell what type of preamp I have. It came installed in the bass. Its a small circuit board with a bunch of wires connecting to a battery and the controls.
