Members jrkirkish Posted January 27, 2006 Members Posted January 27, 2006 Here's my shell pink bass I bought an SX, stripped it and painted it shell pink. I go through all the steps. It's really not that hard. But you've got to watch out for sanding through, paint runs, etc... But it is something just about anybody could do.

Members georgestrings Posted January 27, 2006 Members Posted January 27, 2006 "Is it possible to do a paint job to a bass?" Sure it is - I've painted a few... One of my favorite paint schemes is to use Rustoleum Black Textured paint on the body, and Krylon Ultra Flat Balck on the pickguard - gives a cool, unique look to a bass for under $10... Also, that type of finish wears well, and is easy to touch up, should the need arise... - georgestrings
