Members ContusionBass Posted February 12, 2006 Members Posted February 12, 2006 Any takers? I'll take just about any suggestion. I just realized i havent gotten anything as far as music in almost 4 months. I listen to everything, so i wont be picky.
Members One Bad Monkey Posted February 12, 2006 Members Posted February 12, 2006 Well, if you haven't picked up "Invitation" from Jaco yet, that's definitely a great album (and I have a very wide, yet snobby, music collection). Any other ones are below in no order... Invitation - Jaco Pastorius The Word - Jonas Hellborg Demon Days - Gorillaz Nice - Rollins Band Sex, Love & Rock & Roll - Social Distortion His Best - Howling Wolf Spiked! - The Music of Spike Jones Shut Yo' Mouth! - Slam Steward & Major Holley Live at Filmore - Allman Bros. El Destroyo - Twistin' Tarantulas

Members ContusionBass Posted February 12, 2006 Author Members Posted February 12, 2006 sweet, now we got something to work with.
Members One Bad Monkey Posted February 12, 2006 Members Posted February 12, 2006 If you need more, let me know. I think my CD collection is around 1,500, so I'm sure I have atleast one or two you might not have...!
Members Thumper Posted February 12, 2006 Members Posted February 12, 2006 'Red' by King Crimson. John Wetton's P-bass tone kills. 'Bright Size Life' Pat Metheny. Metheny on guitar, Jaco Pastorious on bass, Bob Moses on drums. This one is my own favorite inspiration. 'Inner Visions' Stevie Wonder. Who cares is a lot of it is synth bass? 'Fleetwood Mac' John McVie is a master of understated playing, and he and Mick Fleetwood are poster kids for How to Lock into the Groove. Any Doobie Brothers with Tiran Porter on bass. He keeps the songs moving and doesn't spend a lot of time on the root.
