Members justinbass
I keep hearing that the late 80s MIJ Fenders were great instruments. Does this apply to the MIJ Squires of that era as well? And how much do they sell for?
Members sunburstbasser
MIJ Fender, to me, also includes the Squiers. And the Japanese Squiers I've played have been very nice. Worth isn't gonna be too much. There is still a stigma surrounding Asian-built instruments, though Japanese models are starting to break that. $350 or so should be reasonable for a standard model. Members Thumper
MIJ Fenders are nice. I had an '80s MIJ Squier fretless Jazz, and it played and sounded great. As for values, I'd pay up to $600 for a nice one. Also, it's 'Squier'
Members King Kashue
The MIJ Squiers are not the equivalent of the MIJs normal models, but they're still really nice instruments, much better than normal squiers... Generally figure 75-80% the value of a non-squier MIJ...
