What's the purpose of "Stretching" a bike???

Lengthening the wb does not change the center of gravity.

Well, technically it moves the CG aft, but it doesn't lower it at all. There is more arm length from the rear contact patch to the CG though, which reduces wheelie-ing in a drag race.

That's the proper meaning to "low slung" and looks great doing it!

The question is why would you stretch a Suzuki Katana (Across, or whatever they are) and ruin the fun because you can no longer mono??

Both those bikes are pathetic and neither would necessarily win a drag over an identical bike in its original form. The extra long chain for starters would negate any gain made in shifting the CofG forward, when a good rider could largely overcome any tendency of a short wheelbase to mono.

Sheesh

and with a 120 cubic inch Revtec Mill, A grind cam, S&S 2 throat carb and Revtec 5 speed tranny will leave those rice riders smelling exhaust and looks good doing it too.

The pictured bike only has an S&S 88 motor.

A Revtech 110 is just over $6k, the tranny would be another $1200. I'm not sure why you'd replace the Mikuni that comes with the Revtech, but to each his own.

Even with all of that, you'd have a 125 hp, 140 ft-lb bike that weighs 700 pounds.

It would get smoked by a sport bike that cost less than the engine.

Yup...I mistakenly wrote 'change', but meant to write 'lower', since that was what was previously claimed. Basically the moment arm is increased so the wheel torque has to be much higher to lift the front end. The irony is that this can backfire and reduce weight transfer to the rear tire..if it's not a super soft sticky, it may spin much sooner in the holeshot.

Agreed, and there are damn few vehicles on the street that could smoke the fast sport bikes, including most high dollar sports cars. Those bikes are ungodly fast! And not just fast accelleration, but reliable, can corner and brake, and can hit 185 mph right off the showroom floor. Really amazing pieces of engineering.
