Members lillederhosen Posted February 1, 2007 Members Posted February 1, 2007 what do you guys use for strings? im using the steels that came with my king but im thinking about getting somthing thats not so hard on the fingers. they also have to be good for both jazz and rockabilly cooper
Members bassman1956 Posted February 1, 2007 Members Posted February 1, 2007 I had Tomastik Spirocores. Great pizz sound, high tension and hard on the left hand, sounded scratchy as hell when bowed. Currently have Corelli 370's. Great pizz tone, far far better bowing response and tone, easier to finger. Richer tone, less growl, that's fine by me. YMMV.
Members mistermike Posted February 1, 2007 Members Posted February 1, 2007 I'm playing Innovation Super Silvers. Less tension than steel but more tension than thier Rockabilly strings.

Members Perfessor Posted February 1, 2007 Members Posted February 1, 2007 I use Red Label. They're real nice.
