Members whoneedstherapy Posted February 10, 2007 Members Posted February 10, 2007 I just got an email from one of the stores down here which pushes behringer products like nothing else.... "REPORT OF GREAT NEW PRODUCTS FROM THE ANNUAL MUSIC TRADE SHOW IN LOS ANGLES. A SPECIAL REPORT FROM YOURS TRULY WHO WAS PRIVILEGED TO VISIT THE BEHRINGER FACTORY ALONG WITH ABOUT 60 OTHER INTERNATIONAL VISITORS FROM NEARLY EVERY MAJOR MUSIC SHOP IN THE WORLD PLUS A GOOD NUMBER OF MUSIC PRESS FROM POWERFUL MAGAZINES WHO WILL REPORT WHAT THAT SAW AND HEARD. I AM SURE THEY WERE COMPLETELY BLOWN AWAY AS WE WERE WE ALSO SAW WHAT I BELIEVE WILL BE THE NEXT NUMBER 1 VALVE AMP IN THE WORLD"

Members i_wanna_les_paul Posted February 10, 2007 Members Posted February 10, 2007 There's been a huge tussle over it in the Amps forum. There's people on the "Behringer needs to die for plagiarizing amp designs" side and others on the "teh chaep amp r0xx0rz...go away h4t3rz" side. I just get annoyed because they blatantly copy Peavey's styling. It's not that they're making cheap tube amps - anyone is free to do that - in my eyes they're banking on the image of Peavey and the notoriety (or infamy) it will gain them. We'll have to see if they sound one step better than a gramophone. Dustin
Members whoneedstherapy Posted February 10, 2007 Author Members Posted February 10, 2007 i just loved the claim from the store about it being the next number 1 amp in the world. I was in there about 6 months ago looking at some of the eden cabs they had in there and copped "dude you should check out the behringer cabs, they sound better than eden and are heaps cheaper"
