Pop them, but don't pop them from the top. Break through the skin a couple mils from the blister then continue to push the needle through until you are underneath the blister area, remove the needle, then drain. This way the skin where the blister was isn't broken and should harden up quite quickly, plus this way doesn't sting.

Dude, awesome technique! A little hydrogen peroxide should clean up the needle nice.
