Why are our classifieds used so little?

I think that there's a much larger number of people on Talkbass who are in the market for gear, and so people list their stuff there knowing that there's a better chance of it selling.

Also, from a buyer's standpoint, there's a good chance that someone will have what you're looking for, so it's more likely that buyers will look there first.

I've listed gear on HC that got looked at over 1K times and never sold. I listed some stuff on TB that sold within a week. Plus, TB has a feedback system, so you can check out the history of the buyer/seller before you make a purchase.

it certainly doesn't reach talkbass levels...I have seen some good stuff there though.

even the dudepit seems to out # HCBF in classifieds but also seems to have many fewer people on average (but those mothers move some gear...I lurk over there just for the bass pron....SWEET gear moving around daily)
