Members Bass8987 Posted March 7, 2007 Members Posted March 7, 2007 Is it any good? I have never seen it and it looks kind of interesting.
Members RyCLB Posted March 7, 2007 Members Posted March 7, 2007 Is it any good? I have never seen it and it looks kind of interesting. I've watched it since the beginning. Great show, IMHO.
Members Grumpy_Polecat Posted March 7, 2007 Members Posted March 7, 2007 I've watched a couple. It was definitely edgier than any other med show I'd seen (and I have seen plenty). The show doesn't synch with my schedule, so i never really got into it; I don't have an real empathy for the characters. But I could. I'll probably catch up on it when it goes into syndication.
Members B-Bottom Posted March 7, 2007 Members Posted March 7, 2007 it's a good show but I haven't seen it in awhile
Members Cortfan Posted March 7, 2007 Members Posted March 7, 2007 If I can see it, I record it. Great show.
Members james on bass Posted March 7, 2007 Members Posted March 7, 2007 I've gotten into the show this year and really like it. The only problem is I've never seen the ending of an episode as I leave for work at 10:45.
Members DevilRaysFan Posted March 7, 2007 Members Posted March 7, 2007 maybe there will be a spin-off about a street-thug dying of something and solving crimes. Instead of "House", they can call it "Homes" :D
Members chris-dax Posted March 7, 2007 Members Posted March 7, 2007 It's typical - if you like the genre, you'll like House. IMO there's nothing outstanding about it other than how big of an a-hole House is, and how far-fetched and improbable the story lines are... I wouldn't recommend it unless you're trying to waste an hour of your life....in which case I still wouldn't recommend it...
Members y-o-y Posted March 7, 2007 Members Posted March 7, 2007 I think Hugh Laurie cops an outstanding American accent.

It's already in syndication, on A&E, I think. That's where I usually watch in (not the current year's episodes, but I don't really care). Excellent show.
Members DevilRaysFan Posted March 7, 2007 Members Posted March 7, 2007 I think Hugh Laurie cops an outstanding American accent. Jamie Bamber of Battlestar Galactica has that vote from me
Members bholder Posted March 7, 2007 Members Posted March 7, 2007 I think Hugh Laurie cops an outstanding American accent. It's kind of a shock to watch interviews with him after watching the show. I don't think I've ever heard any brit accent creeping into his character's voice, unless it's intentionally being used to mock someone else.
Members fealach Posted March 8, 2007 Members Posted March 8, 2007 After a while it gets pretty formulaic. Bizarre malady, red herrings, they think it's cured but House knows better, sudden worsening to near death, House figures it out and saves the patient. I like it, and watch it whenever I can catch a new one. House is smart and mean, with an evil, tasteless sense of humor. I watch it for the abuse he dishes out. It was great for a while when he had a nemesis, a cop as smart and ruthless as House but without the tiny tender spot you know House is hiding.
Members bassplayinguy Posted March 8, 2007 Members Posted March 8, 2007 I started watching it last season, but its always a toss up cause I like to watch The Unit on CBS and its on at the same time. But when they replay them, I usually try and catcht it.
Members Rickenbrother Posted March 8, 2007 Members Posted March 8, 2007 I don't watch much TV, but House is one of the few shows that I do watch.

Members bassplayinguy Posted March 8, 2007 Members Posted March 8, 2007 Im watching it now The episode with the cyclist that passes out in a race is on

At the very end of that series, turned out the cop had one too, which is what made him such a bastard, just like House.
Members bholder Posted March 8, 2007 Members Posted March 8, 2007 Jamie Bamber of Battlestar Galactica has that vote from me That's not an American accent, it's Caprican.

I must have missed that! I realized I couldn't remember how that storyline played out, but thought it was just senility setting in.
Members Tim in WV Posted March 8, 2007 Members Posted March 8, 2007 never miss it. It's like Northern Exposure was for me years ago - I make time for it.

I didn't really follow the whole sequence of episodes, but I did watch what I took to be the resolution of that storyline not too long ago.
