Members preacherswife Posted April 5, 2007 Members Posted April 5, 2007 This is part 2 of a previous question concerning the Circuit Breakers. I have an Ibanez GSR 200 with active electronics I play in church. Each time after playing, I always unplug the cable to prevent battery drainage. Will a circuit breaker be good for me to use instead of unplugging the cable each time so I can just switch off the cable and leave it plugged in? Too, this same plug can be used with an acoustic/electric guitar as well, right? THANKS!
Members Anesthesia Posted April 5, 2007 Members Posted April 5, 2007 The cable is GREAT for switching instruments live, and can be used as just a regular instrumentpatch cable, but you will still have to unplug it to stop you bass' battery from draining.
Members fretless Posted April 5, 2007 Members Posted April 5, 2007 yup , the cord won't turn off the active bass , but just leave it in , it's not going to kill the battery that fast , just check the battery regularly , you can get a cheap battery tester if you want to be sure but the battery should last for a while so , no worries . The cable will work in any instrument that uses 1/4 " jacks , Bass , gtr , keyboard , whatever , unless it's a bass specific cable like some brands put out , even then it would work just with enhanced bass EQ .
