Members willbill0587
I just listened to a few of their tracks like 'American band' and 'some kind of wonderful'. His bass sounds awesome.Anyone know what equipment was used? Sounds like an early Billy Sheehan tone.

Members DevilRaysFan
Bass? I am not sure. In the early days he played a Fender Jazz -- towards the mid-70s, when they added Craig Frost on keys, he played a Fender Precision a lot as well
Members jackcheez
His early tone was quite dirty in the early years. It got cleaner later on. This was one of my favorites. This was the loudest band I EVER saw.

Members bassment zombie
nice:thu: How big are those things? 200 watts, and a bit heavier than an SVT. The trannys are enormous and are both on the same side of the cavity. It's somewhere in the 90 pound range, if I recall.
Members Fran da Man
damn, you know whats surprising to me is how good Mark Farner is I never seen them live, i heard that self titled "Red" album when it was still underground (FM) a girl in my neighborhood had it. I didn't know Farner was that good, he's doing things that look like precursors to what every guitarist since does...that cats good.
