Members chris-dax
and here's a choice statement by Joe Wilson after the perjury verdicts.... Wilson said in a statement that he and Plame are "grateful that justice has been served." He added that "Mr. Libby benefited from the best this country had to offer: the finest schools, a lucrative career as a lawyer and many years of service in Republican administrations. That he would knowingly lie, perjure himself and obstruct a legitimate criminal investigation is incomprehensible."... said the certified serial liar who himself had benefited from the finest schools, and a lucrative career as a public employee for many years in Republican administrations..... Members chris-dax
It's insane...a lie with serious national security implications sounds reasonable to me and if you twits could pull away from the partisan teat for a moment, it'd probably sound reasonable to you, too! word! Members bbl
Um, maybe read the first post over? The question was why didn't Armitage get procecuted. In this case there wasn't "enought of it to proceed to trial". For the record, Fitzgerald has stated that Armitage wasn't prosecuted because he couldn't prove that Armitage knew that Wilson's wife was under non-official cover. However, Fitzgerald had very valid reasons to continue his investigation. This was not a witch hunt.
