What does B-Stock mean, and why is only $10 more for a new A-Stock pedal?

B-Stock usually means some sort of cosmetic defect, scratch and dent, or return. Why only $10 more for A-Stock? Because the pedal is apparently cheap to begin with, so you get less of a discount.

Doesn't work with active basses (my experience anyway). Bought one and had to return it...

What was the problem with active basses? Was the active signal too hot for the envelope follower sensitivity? I take it the envelope sensitivity isn't (or isn't adequately) adjustable on this unit? Did you try turning down the volume on the bass?

I assume the signal was too hot... product actually had a little circular sticker on the box that said "not for use with active basses" or something similar to that... tried it anyway, with various pre-amp settings, and all sounded craptacular... didn't have my passive to tinker with, but definitely didn't "work" with my actives (think I was playing my traben at the time)
