Dead strings

What kind of music are we talking here?

 

You really need to just try out a few different types of strings before you find what you like like. Took me a long while before I found what I play...

 

I play DR SS lo-riders...not everyone likes em' though, because they are stainless steel which is tough on girly fingers, and the have a higher tension.

I have the Ibanez GSR200BK (I think... I'm bad at remember model numbers)

 

And it didn't take long for the stock strings to start sounding bad... Be sure to wash your hands, and try cleaning off the strings. Make them last before you change them, if that's what you decide to do.

Boil 'em and play for another month while you research it.

I used to do that back in the day to save money... even had a special beat up old pot that was used for nothing else but boiling teh strings. Just get the water to a fast boil and drop the strings in, leave 'em in there for about ten minutes and then take them out and dry them off.
