Members wilki29
If I had a p-bass that needed new electronics, would I use a 250k for the tone, and a 500k for the volume? Also would I need a stereo or mono jack? Would I also need to change the capacitor?

Moderators Kindness Posted July 27, 2007 Moderators Share Posted July 27, 2007 It is customary to use 250k audio taper pots for each, a mono jack and a 0.047 cap. Unless there is a problem with the old cap, you can certainly reuse it.

Linear will have all the percepted volume/tone change in the first few degrees of rotation and then seem to have no change for the last bulk of the rotation - i.e. not a smooth volume/tone change.
