I just broke my coffee maker. I've got it rigged together now, so I won't miss out on coffee this weekend, but I'll need something new.

It was one of those grind and brew deals. I liked it, but I'll be happy to go back to a standard coffee maker and get a bean grinder.

I have an Amazon.com gift certificate, so any recommendations from their catalog would would be appreciated.

I use this:

The thermal Carafe keeps the coffee HOT for 12+ hours, warm for 16-18. seriously, its unreal. We had the Mr Coffee version that was about 2.52-4 hours hot, then sloped out quickly. then it died in about a year unexpectedly.

We only occasionally use the grind, but use it every day for a year with no issues. highly recommended!

I have that one too. Love it. I only buy whole beans, so I grind every day and it is a pain to clean. But overall, it is the best coffee maker I've ever had.

Try this: aero_press_03.jpg

And here's the link to the site: http://www.aerobie.com/Products/aeropress.htm

Best coffee ever, no kidding. Read the reviews on some of the coffee nerd sites. It's not my everyday coffee maker, as it's a little more work than a drip brewer (2 minutes to grind the beans, about 2 minutes to set it up, 1 minute to microwave the water, and about 2 minutes to press it). I have tried to be the disciple for this maker ever since I got it about a year ago. Try it, you'll like it!

Hmmm... sorry, the I can't get the image to load, but follow the link.
