Members snd4c
I was just wondering, since in many cases the Bass is run through the mains, Can I just get a good Powered Amp with a nice Preamp and connect that to my speakers as a rig? Members jmseymour
Yep, that's why Aguilar is so popular.
Members guitargod0dmw
Yep, that's why Aguilar is so popular. Huh? There are many more companies than just Aggie that make a pre/power type of setup. A lot of people use setups like that. Sans Amp RBI + a power amp for example. I own a lot of Aguilar gear...that's why I chime in.
Moderators Kindness Posted August 2, 2007 Moderators Share Posted August 2, 2007 I don't know what your speakers are, so I don't know. In general, yes.
Members jmseymour
I'm just saying - I know a lot of people that are getting turned onto Aguilar. I know there are other brands.
Members snd4c
I don't know what your speakers are, so I don't know. In general, yes. I have an Avatar 410 and an Avatar 212. So on the PA side I guess I'm looking for something around the 1000 watt area so I can stand alone at venues. Any suggestions from 300-500 for a PA? and roughly 500-700 for a preamp (tube possibly?)
