Members The Aardvark
Star trek uniforms, complete with the black spandex pants and leather boots, would be preferable to that flamin' bowling shirt.I swear I'm half tempted to do this, complete with phaser and communicator. Unfortunately, I'm enough of a Star Trek nerd that people would take me seriously though.
Members bassred
Havana shirts are better than bowling shirtsI like Club shirts , depending on the design... I've seen some pretty cool club shirts, and some really bad ones... I have some really bad ones... mostly pretty cool ones. Western shirts are a good shot too. just don't go too hoky with it (tucking them in is a no-no, unless you are in a country band.....)
Members BeeTL
No unforms per se but we do try to wear black & white or whatever combination. I prefer to wear these types of shirts. I wear them in my daily life as well. I love Cubavera and Havana shirts. That's basically what I got. Also, the retro bowling shirts are cut pretty much the same as those. On mine, the tan section shown below is basically black with a gray flower print, kinda Hawiian, but very subtle.
Members Thunderbroom
My band has a problem, IMO, with our stage dress and I'm just as guilty as anyone else in the band. Our singers (female) tend to dress right. The rest of us are all over the map. Sometimes folks will look they just got off work and stepped onstage while others (me) will be sporting a "look". My look tends to be Doc Martens, blue jeans, work shirt (with some company name and some guy's name on it that I got from the thrift store, and a baseball cap. One of my guitarists has a "look" as well...jeans, wife beater, long-sleeved shirt with the sleeves ripped off, and a cowboy hat. FWIW, I like the idea of the shirts or some other unified look for a band.
Members Crescent Seven
soccer shirts with strips would be good also....I bought a soccer jersey in Costa Rica that would be killer on stage.Except that extra large Costa Rican men don't stand taller than 5'6" or weigh more than 135lbs, apparently.C7
Members catphish
Corporate/wedding bands are fine in a uniform/dress code. Any other sort of band comes off as silly. IMHO.
