Members Funkee1
....but I think deserves a thread: I believe Country and Reggae are distant cousins, and you can make any reggae song into country, and vise versa, with a subtle change to the drum groove. Members Funkee1
Me either. Try it. Play "3 little birds", then imagine, instead of a "Skank" guitar part, it's a two- step...........

It makes sense now. I was just imagining "Redneck Woman" as a reggae tune.

Members burdizzos
I think any I-IV-V can be a country song regardless of its original genre...... Yep. Any country song can be a punk song, which can be turned into a ska song and then to a reggae song. It really isn't much of a stretch, if it is a song played on a guitar in 4/4 it can be done in any popular western style without too much effort. Members Mofopotomus
I can hear it. Try listening to "King Harvest Has Surely Come" by The Band. It's got kind of a reggae/country vibe to it.

Members DevilRaysFan
In the band Im in now, we play "Melt With You" by Modern English......some nights, after a few shots, the song will end and I'll have the drummer kick in a 2/4 blugrass and we do the song again as a bluegrass tune...Its funny as {censored} and works rather well.......Ive also been known to sing the words to "Beverly Hillbillies" to Cheap Sunglasses :D
Members chunky-b
I have found that most well written music can be apapted to most any genre. Hence these country dance remix's, crossover hits, and even the songs released as Hip-Hop and Country by two different artists, but same basic tune.
