It does keep some vibrations down. the chunks of cardboard were there, they slid right in, so wtf! The plan was to use some foam panels, but for right now, meh.

I tried lining my bass-ment walls with cardboard once cause I had no money and needed to record my band. So yeah... I know what you mean.
